A 20-Minute At-Home Self-Care Evening
Because You Deserve More Than Just Chocolate
Valentine's Day is almost here. And while we love a good heart-shaped box of chocolates as much as the next person, we'd like to propose something a little different this year: an evening dedicated entirely to you.
No reservations required. No getting dressed up. Just 20 minutes, a few thoughtful products, and permission to slow down.
Here's how to create the perfect at-home self-care evening — whether you're treating yourself before a date, after a long week, or simply because it's Tuesday.
Step 1: Set the Scene (2 minutes)

Before you do anything else, create a space that feels calm.
Dim the overhead lights. Light a candle if you have one (bonus points if it smells better than whatever you cooked for dinner). Put your phone on silent — or better yet, leave it in another room.
If you’re feeling fancy, put on some music. Instrumental works well. Or a podcast you’ve been meaning to listen to. No judgment here.
The goal is simple: signal to your brain that this time is just for you.
Step 2: Start With a Warm Bath or Shower (8-10 minutes)

There's a reason warm water feels so good. It relaxes your muscles, opens your pores, and gives your mind a moment to slow down.
If you're taking a bath: Add a handful of bath salts to warm water and settle in. Our Bath Salts Collection blends Epsom and sea salts with essential oils to help ease tension and encourage deep relaxation. Soak for at least 10 minutes if you can.
If you're showering: Turn your regular shower into a mini spa with a shower steamer. Drop one of our Keep Calm Shower Steamers on the floor (away from the drain) and let the steam release calming lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint essential oils. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and pretend you're somewhere far more expensive.
Either way, take your time. This isn't a race.
Step 3: Treat Your Skin (5 minutes)

Your skin has been through a lot. Canadian winters are no joke, and between cold outdoor air and dry indoor heat, hydration is essential.
For your face: After cleansing, apply a few drops of facial oil while your skin is still slightly damp. Our Ethereal GLOW Facial Oil is made with 18 botanical oils that absorb beautifully without feeling heavy. Take a moment to gently massage it in — this is skincare and self-care in one.

For your body: While your skin is still warm from the bath or shower, apply a generous layer of body lotion. Our CARE Lotion is silky, deeply hydrating, and made with organic botanicals to leave skin soft, comfortable, and nourished. Your skin will thank you tomorrow morning.
Step 4: The Finishing Touches (3-5 minutes)

This is where you tailor the moment to exactly what you need.
Feeling tense?
Spend a minute massaging your neck and shoulders while applying lotion. Small circles, light pressure. Nothing complicated.
Eyes feeling tired?
Our Berry Lumine Eye Cream is perfect for this moment. It's lightweight, gently firming, and feels like a cool drink of water for tired under-eyes.
Just want to relax?
Slip into your softest clothes, make a cup of tea (or pour a glass of wine — no judgment here), and simply...be. No scrolling. No emails. Just you.

Why This Matters (hint: you matter)
We talk a lot about self-care, but it’s easy to let it become just another thing on the to-do list — something we promise we’ll get to later.
The truth is, 20 minutes is often all it takes to reset. That’s less time than an episode of your favourite show. Less time than scrolling social media. Less time than deciding what to make for dinner.
You don’t need a full spa day to feel taken care of. Just a few intentional moments and products that genuinely make you feel good.
